All their plans comes with enough features to run a complex website - ample space and bandwidth, pre built Shopping Cart and other standard goodies. E-commerce sites especially should be happy with their shopping cart and merchant account features.
You can also select between ASP or PHP. They are one of the few host that offer both windows and Linux shared hosting.
They also have a well documented Knowledge base.
Valueweb performs reasonably well. They are among the top 50 hosts being monitored by Netcraft. The results had been from good to excellent, consistently listing within the top 10. With excellent network and years of history, performance is not really a worry when you are with value web.
ValuWeb is not for you, if you are looking for the cheapest offer. Even their smallest offer is nearly 2-3 times the cost of a cheap provider. But they do promise value for money - good support, performance and lots of add on features. If you are running a serious website or e-commerce site, Valueweb is worth the money.
On the other hard, something like Hostgator might offer you the same or even better hosting at a fraction of what Valueweb charges.
Good support is something valueweb promises. They offer Customer Forums (not that active though), Knowledge base and 24/7/365 support. You can expect a fast reply from email customer support or call them on their 24/7 toll free customer support line. They offer toll free lines for countries like UK, Germany, Ireland, Japan, Australia etc. Still it comes as a surprise that Valueweb customer support is not always that highly rated. There has been a number of complaints about them as well. But to be fair, that happens with every big host. Overall, the support can be rated okay to good.
